Opinions please!
Hi All,
So I will be starting at my local gym next week and have been flirting with the idea of hiring a personal trainer. Have gone back and forth on email with one. I decided to creep her on facebook and came across the following article that she had shared, liked and commented on how great it was.
So......it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. I definitely don't agree with most of the article but my issue is "giving myself up" to a personal trainer makes me feel a touch nervous and exposed and her feelings towards this article makes me feel like she would NOT be a fan of gastric bypass. Being sensitive....maybe.
Thoughts please!!!
That article is sizeist BS! And for someone to like it and share it, it says a lot about their thought process and such. Always go with your gut in situations like this. You're going to be paying money to someone to guide and shape you, they shouldn't hold such narrow ideals. Just say no and find someone awesome who suits your needs and wants and who will kick your ass into gear when needed!
*hugs* You can do this!

Find a trainer who understands the challenges of obesity, and the WLS tool. No way you want some uninformed gym rat who has no life experience.
If you are going to pay the money, ask around, check Kijiji. Word of mouth is the best reference. You can get started with no trainer, and see them around the gym. Check out how they work.
