Long time no post! Question for the Vets!
Wow it has been awhile since I was on here, life has been super crazy..Got married, bought a house and had a baby all in the past year.. Phewwwwwww.. I'm going to be 2 years post op as of August 18th and things have been great.. I lost 160 lbs but never reached my goal weight because I got preggers. I gained 35 lbs during my pregnancy and have lost 20 of those since my son was born 6 weeks ago. So now I'm getting back on the wagon to loose these extra lbs and make my goal finally!! So anyways, my question for the vets...when I gave birth to my son I had a normal vaginal delivery and everything went well..but since then I have been having a lot of tummy troubles..my bowel movements have been a bit off.. I either go all day or don't go for 3-4 days.. I'm also having a lot of discomfort in my upper abdomin, mostly on my left side and into the centre..it gets really bad during a meal or immediatly after I finish eating..it's a cramping, burning, pressure pain..which to me sounds kinda like an ulcer. I asked my family doctor when I saw her last week and she said she thinks it's more of a digestion/ diet issue and told me to eat more fiber..I go to see my surgeon in 3 weeks for my 2 year checkin and I will be sure to talk to them., but I was just wondering if anyone else had issues after giving birth.. Or if anyone has had any similar issues...thanks bunches!!

Add some flax or benefibre to your diet to help things move along.
I would do exactly what you are doing - seeing your surgeon. Perhaps an ulcer, could be a hernia or gallbladder. It's your teams job to figure it out. :-). They may do all the testing or have you follow through with your family doctor. If your family doctor dismisses it, get a referral to a gastroenterologist. I'm sure the centre will help you out thiugh

Congratulation on your son angel! I didn't have surgery when I gave birth but I did have a devil of a time poopin! I had to use stool softeners to help things along the way. Maybe give that a go? *hugs* Let us know how it goes!!
