Pouch Swelling

Just out of curiosity, when does the swelling in the pouch go down and when is it totally healed? Just wondering about my anatomy, relative of course.

I felt that the swelling went down about month 4 for me.  I do not have any scientific evidence.....just my own perception.

If I remember correctly, it takes your stomach 3 months to heal completely and your abdominal wall 4 months to heal up completely, which is why you are restricted in what you can carry and the type of exercises you can do for some time after surgery.

It might take you that long to heal completely, but that does NOT mean that you will be in any pain for long after your surgery, should all go well and no complications arise.
