Hunger?
Is this real hunger or are my nerves sending me bad vibes? I don't mind being hungry, I just want to be able to prepare for it.
Thanks!!
Just ignore hunger. I have hunger (almost constant) during PMS (just one more lil treat - now I want to throw rocks and eat chips), but now that I know what it is I ignore it or eat celery (kind of like chewing rocks).
As long as you are eating on plan and drinking your fluids, you shouldn't have any "real" hunger except perhaps when you have had something to drink too close to meal time.
Plan your food and don't have anything else. Cold water or hot broth can really help too.

I found the first couple of months, my innards seemed to make more noise than I was not used to. If I feel hungry (over 18 months post-op), I find it is not a 5 alarm fire like I used to get. I can ignore it or eat a piece of cheese. I am constantly drinking (except at meal times), so unless I go beyond 4 hours from a previous meal, I generally do not notice hunger per se. Going beyond 4 hours is generally an exceptional situation for me.
Good luck in your healing process.
