Update and questions

Good Morning fellow Ontario OHers...

Had my surgery 9 months ago and down 80lbs...  Feeling great!

Question:  My wife if considering the surgery, but 4 month's ago she had to have emergency Gall Bladder surgery (too bad it was emergency and out of country or she may have been able to get a 2 for 1 deal.  lol).  Anyone know a typical wait time to have the RNY after having a prior surgery?  6 month's?

Also, what happened to the prior surgery log/list that was at the top of the discussion board?

Thanks,

Mark

wow not sure if there is a (waiting period) after gallbladder surgery..that probably could only be answered by the bariatric specialist/surgeon...also...they probably (I would assume) need to look closer as to the reasons why the gallbladder was necessarily removed.

as far as RNY...the process varies between hospitals etc and how long the process is depends on what if any other co-morbdities your wife would have, how quickly the referring doctor gets the process underway and how long the waiting list is at any given hospital.

At least she has you to help guide her in the changes she might as well start making in advance...

All the best and a speedy recovery to her from her surgery

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
