We are left with tylenol or narcotics for pain and they wonder why use of narcotics might increase? Add to that that some drugs might not absorb as quickly.. I'm not surprised by the study.

Sometimes the best support  you can get isn't all purple puddles and pink rainbows.

As they are chronic users of opiates already its not that surprising to me.  I wonder how many need a detox of some sort to get off them completely?  Don't know, just wondering.  That monkey is a hard one to get off your back!

I take exception with the comment that obese people are more sensitive to pain. I do know that pain may not go away with weight loss for everyone. I personally have found it is more manageable with the decreased pressure on the joints.
