I've not had a cigarette in a year that starts with a 2.

Fourteen years ago today I quit smoking.  It took a trip to the hospital with heart problems, but not one damned puff since, after smoking for 35 years.

If I can do it, anyone can.  :)

Fourteen years, 12 hours, 5 minutes and 57 seconds. 255725 cigarettes not smoked, saving $44,393.89. Life saved: 2 years, 22 weeks, 5 days, 22 hours, 25 minutes.

It is a big accomplishment to be a non smoker, I smoked for more than 30 years as well and it is my first NSV.  Congratulations .... Ps I seldom comment on your post as I know my spelling is so poor and worry but wanted to say congrats anyway

 Respectfully Jane

Congrats!  I never was successful in inhaling smoke as a teenager.  I did not display enough persistence to get the hang of it. :)

It is my biggest NSV in my life too. it will be 2 years February 25th for me after 35 years hard smoking more than a pack a day.

I swore I would never quit, defended my rights and planned to take a carton in my coffin but like you it took a trip to the hospital with a bacterial lung infection and needing to be on machines to breathe...............IF I CAN QUIT  anyone can!!

You should be very proud of yourself!   That is a huge accomplishment - all around!   And you have given yourself the gift of life by not smoking too!
