ONE year! With Pics
One year ago yesterday I had Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass. I have very few words about how amazing this journey has been. I had my 1 yr follow up appointments yesterday and everything came back A-OK on the blood work front. I started at 274 and today I am 141! a Total of 133 loss! The nurse told me I am in the "1% who gets to a normal BMI" (that CANT be right???) I am now seeing a FABULOUS guy, he himself used to be 350 pounds! Although he did it with diet and exercise and not surgery, He can appreciate everything I have gone through and does not mind my bits of loose skin. He is also a kicking personal trainer and leads a group exercise class that I attend on Mondays. He is great and I hope we develop into more than just "seeing each other" (its been a month, now! Here are some photos!

AH-mazing!!! I am so excited for your one year. I know this might sound weird but I always felt that you and I were similar in size and body type so I have always looked forward to your updates!! I love that you have hit the "normal" BMI and that is truly my only goal at this point. Congrats on your hard work, success, new love, and rocking the **** out of your RNY!!!
I am now 4 months post op - I am in Onederland and 43lbs from a "normal" BMI. I am eating my protein, and working my butt. Thanks for the continued inspiration!!

Congratulations! Well done. as with many others I've followed your journey and have learned so much from your feedback and mentoring to others. Better yet ! I got to meet you yesterday while we were waiting for our orientation. I apologize for pointing u out to the group You were quickly bombarded with questions and graciously shared with all of us. The few minutes we had was invaluable especially meeting 3 of you on your one year anniversary!!! I would have so appreciated the Q&A time in class. Something for OBN to consider??? Anyway......congrats on the loss and gaining a promising relationship.
