Wondering if we can take ex-lax after having Roux-En-Y? I have been using the washroom everyday but not much and have a really bad back. This as happened before and 2 gentle formula ex-lax before bed would take care of it.

Any thoughts?????

While I have never taken ex lax I do know sugar free milk of magnesia works for me, though thankfully I have not needed it for some time.  I do know ex lax has several sweeteners in it so I would be weary of dumping.  If you talk with a local pharmacist and they are not sure what to recommend due to the RNY just tell them you would be very similar to a really bad diabetic when it comes to sugar sensitivities.  Good luck!   kiss

I have been pondering your post for a while.  If a gentle dose of exlax got you moving, I'm wondering if a few prunes each day with some fibre added to your other foods would be enough?  Just a suggestion.
