Slow loser?? (X-post)

So in 10 weeks, I have lost 33 lbs.  I had my RNY surgery 7 weeks ago, and did a liquid diet for 3 weeks pre-op.  I am "light weight" - so does this seem to be on course then - losing 33 lbs in 10 weeks?  It seems to be SLOW!!  I am struggling with my protein, not sure if that could be a part of the slower loss - or perhaps it is just me thinking it's slow.  Thoughts?

i BELIEVE the bigger you are to start, the faster the weight will come off. How did you get the weight you have lost and goal weight to show up in your posts , i can't get mine to do that

If you go into "tickers & widgets" and edit one of your signatures ... to the right of the screen there is option to pick " weight to go" or "weight changed" ... so make sure each one is different and that should work :)

You've lost over 1/3 of your excess weight in 10 weeks so it's not slow at all.

70 lbs. or more in 18 months

For patients weighing 250 to 300 lbs.
10 to 12 lbs. in first 10 days
15 to 25 lbs. in 6 weeks
25 to 35 lbs. in 3 months
45 to 60 lbs. in 6 months
80 lbs. or more in 1 year
90 lbs. or more in 18 month

For patients weighing 300 to 400 lbs.
10 to 30 lbs. in first 10 days
25 to 45 lbs. in 6 weeks
35 to 55 lbs. in 3 months
50 to 80 lbs. in 6 months

For patients weighing 400 to 500 lbs.

35 to 60 lbs. in 3 months

150 lbs. or more in 18 months

As I said, it's only a guideline, not a strict rule.

Awesome guideline Cat!  thanks for sharing this! I too was wondering if I was doing something wrong but I am right on track according to your chart.  I had the sleeve tho....so not sure if it's comparable or less weight loss depending on starting weight.

Referred June 2012.  Surgery Oct 15/2013 Dr. Irbach TWH VSG. Starting weight 287lbs. Started OPTI weight 260. Goal Weight 160lbs.
