confused about clothing sizes

I am down 53 lbs since opti fast started. At the time I was in a 54 pant and 4xt shirt ( I'm 6'3"). I am now in a pair of 50 pants which is what I expected but I am now for the most part in a 2xt shirts. That part doesn't make sense to me . I thought I would be in a 3x until after 300lbs.

When I separated with my wife last year I took all my old 2xt shirts and some smaller size pants hoping I would one day fit in them again.

I alway though one pant size for every 25lbs you loose.

Unfortunately we do not lose evenly. Nor do we necessarily end up even either. Everyone has a different body shape

Don't get me started on clothing sizes. Just wait until you shop at a different store that decides to have different sizes :)

Seriously it all depends on where you are losing the weight and your bone structure, etc.

Someone on here a while ago also mentioned that as you get smaller you have to lose more weight to move down sizes.

There's no rule. We all lose weight differently, and clothes fit differently depending on the cut, style, and brand.  A 2X from one place will not fit you the same as a 2X from another place.  And we all lose weight more quickly on some parts of our bodies than on others.

Right now, these are some of the sizes of my clothes that fit me well right now in my closet at 181 lbs: "One size"; medium, large, XL, size 12 pants, size 14 jeans, size 15 skirt, size 13 skirt, XL blazer, L blazer, L winter coat, XL rain coat, L zip up track top...you get the idea.

OMg I know how you feel!!

When I was down 50-60 I only fit into my clothes better. They were a little baggy and I was ALMOST into the next size down! I dont know if I wore my clothes way too small before, with the rolls hanging out cause I did not want to go up a size.....or if that is just how it worked?

But once I hit 65-70+ weight loss.....I finally started dropping sizes fast.

I am down 91 and I went from a size 24 in July to a size 15 this week.

Now I just need a couple of you ladies to take me out to show me what clothes match. I was and never will be a fashion expert. Losing weight doesn't help me match clothes that look good together wink
