I haven't used my juicer since opti ( 7 weeks or so) . I just find I am not getting lots of veggies in my diet. Can I juice still as its usually kale, cucumber green apple ginger . Just it fill my belly with little on no protein, which I can add.  And other ideas about getting in more veggies

In Guelph they recommended not using a juicer because in a very small amount is a lot of sugars...carrots would be one for example.  It takes a lot of food to make very little juice.  I am not sure about the vegetables you have mentioned....I would check with the dietition.

My clinic does not recommend juice... I am guessing it might be ok for the 2 weeks full liquid stage but they want us to eat our food.  The reasoning being most store bought juice has high calories / sugars and that juice is not dense enough and will 'slide' through making us hungry quicker.  The one example they used was orange juice... I think they said it takes 6 oranges to make a glass of orange juice they want us to eat the whole orange instead.  Less calories, full longer and by eating the fruit we get the fiber too.

Juicers are not recommended at HRRH either, not til at least goal. We don't need a lot of veggies during our loosing stage. I am sure you miss it if you were a juicer preop, but I think you should check with your centre to see their thoughts and for the stage your at.

I would forget the juice and perhaps try to eat spinach either in a salad or steamed. I try to eat the dark leafy greens.
