ORIENTATION ON MONDAY HRRH AND QUESTIONS

Hi all,

 

I have orientation on Monday at 9am is anyone else attending?  I was wondering a few things:

 

1.  How long is the wait from Orientation till Surgery at hrrh?

2.  Do you get all the appointments at the orientation? (I read this somewhere, but wasnt sure if it was hrrh or another clinic)?

3. What is the order of operations?  ie orientation, then ?

4. What kind of information do you come out of the orientation with?

I can't answer your question either sorry, but I wanted to say that I am going that day as well but I'm in for the afternoon session. Would have been nice to have been going to the same one. we could have met up!!

Hi , I had my orientation on Oct 7, they called with a date to meet the surgeon the next week, he gave me a form to get an appointment with the internist, and they had my next appointments for me then, so I went on the 7th for orientation, the 16th to meet the surgeon, have blood work done, get appointment with internist and got my appointments for the nutrionist, social worker and nurse Dec. 23, the internist is Jan 8.  and from there I have no idea...its not a fast process!! be patient it will all happen as it is suppose to!    :)

My appointments w nutritionist, SW and RN. are also on Dec.23. What time is your appointment? Mine is at 9 am. 

I see the Internist Nov.21.

 

My appointments start at 10 with the RN 11 with RD then 1pm with SW  ! I'm sure we will cross paths in the waiting room! :)

 

A good way to get an idea of the order of appointments and wait times is to read everyone's signature lines. It's helpful for other people if you keep yours updated as well. In my signature I included the Centre I'm at and my surgeon. Every Centre seems to do thing a bit differently (including the order of appointments), so it's nice to find people who are at the same Centre as you are.

After Orientation I got a phone call with the date of my 1st Surgeon Appointment. At that appointment I was sent for blood work and given a letter listing the next three appointments (Social Worker, Dietitian, and RN). Once you get approved by the SW/RD/RN you get an appointment for the Internist, and once approved by him you get an appointment to see your surgeon again... hopefully for a surgery date!
