Okay-so here is my plan: I bought a membership to the gym at my workplace (I work in a college and they have a YMCA gym as part of the Campus). My officemate goes to the gym everyday. I am planning on going to the gym with her starting next week (when my membership starts). I am really excited about this! I have been so bad about exercising for the last month or so....I have no good reasons. I just haven't been doing it. Now I will not be able to make up any reasons or excuses for not going!!

I am counting on the fact that it is right there to help me get to it, lol! There really cannot be any reason for me not to go now, nothing at all!

I think having a gym buddy should help. You can edge each other on. I was doing yoga with someone else and it was great. Now I am struggling to get back to it.

The first step, which is the hardest, you have now achieved.   You registered.   Now set up a schedule and commit to it.   Don't start out thinking you will go 7 days a week. I think that will set you up for failure.  But look at your typical week and determine how realistically often you can go and then focus on one week at a time.

You you can do it. And having a gym buddy will work well too.

I havent been been able to work out as much in my home gym since this last round of surgery and then developing an infection on top of things.  However I have determined today is the day where i will start out slow on the treadmill again assuming my belly stitches co operate.  And once I am fully recovered I am going to join the local gym as a supplement to my exercise routine so I can add in yoga or Pilates or something.   Can't wait

have fun at the gym,

Thanks Dar! I don't know what my problem has been lately, but, it has just been so hard to do anything. I do have a history of depression and I believe that it gets worse for me in the fall/winter when it is more dreary outside angel

So, I am trying really hard to pull up my socks and get on with it. We have a family pass for another gym in town, but, there always seems to be a reason why I can't make it there. So, I am really hoping between the ease of this gym being right at my work and the support of my awesome office mate, that I will get my butt moving again!

I was feeling great when I was in my routine, but, I just fell out of sync and have been having a really hard time getting back on track.

I sure hope that your run of bad luck is over now! You have been doing so well with your RNY-despite all of the road blocks-you rock!! angry
