Surgery tomorrow at 10:55!
Just got my call from Ottawa advising me of my surgery time. I have to be there by 8:30, surgery is at 10:55. This time tomorrow I will be coming out of surgery 
Not sure if the whole thing has sunk in yet...I mean, I know what is being done. I've read a lot and visited these boards often, but it's kind of surreal?? It's my time...wow!
Optifast - the trick is ice, jack it up with flavours. Chicken boullion and sugar free jello will get you through...the hunger or what I think is hunger comes but it passes too. I would have to compare it to the urges you get for a cigarette. I quit years ago - twice - so I figured if I could handle that, I could handle this. Close to 17 lbs lost, I see the change in my abdomen already...I hope Dr Neville is pleased with me!!
I made 6 lbs of homemade meatballs and marinara sauce for meatball subs yesterday for 8 people - smothered in every cheese you can imagine, broiled to perfection...I also cooked a double batch of chocolate chip cookies and a gigantic ceasar salad...in other words it does get easier. If this girl can do it, anyone can!
I want to thank those 'who have walked before me'. The time you take to share your wisdom is truly appreciated. Such a wealth of information is shared here it really is a blessing to have the resources we have. This has prepared me well for life post-op - Thank you ~ thank you!
