So I was released yesterday. Was feeling rough and a lot of diaherra. Well I was released from the hospital without being given any extra pain meds other then Tylenol. And that wasn't cutting it.  I had buyer remorse because of my pain. But thankfully my family doc squeezed me in today and gave me something stronger. I feel night and day better already.

one nurse had put an Iv line in wrong and another nice caught it hours later after my arm swollen a large size. She took the line out and started to drain fluids out of it. Was creepy, but my arm still is feeling weird. My family doc wants me to keep an eye on that also just in case it gets infected ( lovely)

But I am taking fluids okay, soup and cream of wheat and protein shakes. I'm on the mend. Down 27 lbs since opti started. All I need to do now is get warm and get some energy. All in time!

(( still shocked it's done)) thank you lord for this next chapter!

Happy to hear you are at home and that your GP was able to "top" you up. Get some rest and hopefully all is well with your arm. Take care!

OMG so awesome you are home!!  I love that you didn't ONCE mention how much your knees hurt!!

What was going through the interstitial IV?   Do they know how much went insterstitial?   Sometimes the IV can be in the right spot and become "in the wrong spot" not necessarily because it was put in wrong, but somehow went through the side of the vein, even if it had been working previously.  Just make sure it's not swelling more or getting red.  Did they put a hot pack on it?

I also have the "HOLY CRAP" feeling - not sinking in yet I guess!

Welcome home and all the best,

Christine
