You generally want the best bang for your buck. Most protein with less sugar, cars and calories.

Generally look for around:

Protein isolate or concentrate

150 calories

5 grams of carbs/sugar or less

you can get samples at stores or ask a friend to sample theirs.

Many like the rtd premier at Costco.

I like the pure protein powder.

Just remember that that the more you have to add to a shake to like it, the less it becomes a good protein shake.

check at your local bulk barn for protein ISOLATE ...it separtates the whey from the protein powder, easier to digest and us who have the RNY can have trouble digesting lactose (whey) milk sugars

The Guelph center doesn't want us drinking the shakes.  It really is a shame because they are so handy!

Hi Val,

Who was it that did your info session at Humber? I only ask because My husband and I went the Monday before you did and we had Jennifer, she was very thorough about everything. Plus it is listed in our paperwork from the session.

I make my own with frozen fruit and/or banana. I done like the remade ones. However, I did drink them until I was 6 weeks post op before making my own
