Appointment w/ surgeon

Good evening all

I'm going tomorrow to meet with Dr. Sohi for the 2nd time. I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what it will look like? I met him before at HRRH but it was very quick and seemed informal. This time I'm going to his office and I'm having some anxiety....I think it's the "unknown."

The scariest thing about Dr Sohi's office is the wait!!! He's usually running late. I've been there a few times and waited for over an hour both times, and others mentioned similar experiences. He's a very nice man though, so there's nothing to be worried about!

If you've been signed off by the SW, RD, RN and Dr Glazer this appointment will probably be to get your surgery date!!! He'll review your information and ask you if you want to proceed with surgery. If you get a surgery date they'll sell you the Opti as you leave so you don't have to make a special trip back to pick it up. They accept credit cards. Bring a few bags to carry the Opti in as they don't provide them.

The building is a typical medical office building and he shares an office with 2 other doctors. The waiting room is nice and big and there's a washroom on that floor and a little shop that sells drinks etc on the 1st floor.

FYI: The parking attendant takes cash only so make sure you bring some. I can't remember if the maximum per day is $12 or $15.

I attended my appointment with Dr.Sohi today. The wait was sooooo long....1 hour and 50 minutes! My appointment lasted about 10 minutes and I left without a surgery date. :( There is nothing available in Jan or Feb, no surgeries in March and they don't have the surgery dates for April or May yet. So I continue to wait. I'm feeling frustrated. 

That's so disappointing. What was the point of the appointment then? Are you at least in the queue for the next available surgery date?
