can i use a can of diced tomatoes to moisten food?  I would eat some of them as well lol

If you are allowed tomatoes at your stage (not sure with Humber), then you can used canned.  Try a little first, and see how your stomach takes to it.  Some people have issues with the acidity of tomatoes.  Just make sure you account for the tomatoes when you log what you eat.

If you can tolerate tomatoes, try salsa.  I've cooked meat in salsa and it comes out nice and juicy.

I always use "Aurora" diced tomatoes whenever I can to moisten the protein I'm cooking. Never had an issue with acidity with them (just speaking for myself), however I've never used them straight out of the can -- always cooked.
