Well folks...I turned 65...in a couple of weeks will get my first old age pension cheque!!! Had WLS in October 13 & am down 81 lbs. Absolutely no complications at all...this whole process has been a breeze (not like that for everybody though..I have been blessed!!). I've never been under 200 lbs since I was 16 so I'm not trying to re-live my teenage years but I'm sure enjoying my age right now..lol! Had really really bad knees & got cortisone shot in both & its been like a mircle for me..finally got rid of my cane....I can walk long distances now, go up & down my stairs to do laundry, shovel the driveway...like a new lease on life! This summer I am so looking forward to going to Canada's Wonderland for the first time...I wanna go on the old wooden roller coaster that makes that clickity clack sound...LOL!! Crazy old lady my grandkids are saying!  Little things are so important...like my daughter (she had the surgery in July 13..has lost 102lbs) & I can actually sit together in the movies, on the train, don't have to walk behind each other up the sidewalk in the city, I can bend, twist, move & stand to do my dishes instead of sitting.  I am so thankful for this wonderful gift that has given to both Jen and I...gonna make the best out of the rest of life...like I've said often....its not how you start life thats important..its how well you fini****!!

You go. I am 62 and understand. It is like having a new lease on life. Although for me Wonderland was not great. I found the rides very hard on the bones.

I hope you realise all your challenges.
