Today is exactly four months since my surgery. I could not be happier!! As of this morning I am down 100lbs. I went from 315 to 215....and onederland is soooo close now!

This has been an amazing and crazy journey. I have had NO complications or intolerances at all and most days I cannot even tell I had surgery....well, other than the much smaller portion sizes and NO constant hunger.  Im very happy with my decision....I wish I had done it 10 years ago.

I was at Costco this morning and the cashier didn't want to take my card as she said the picture did not look like me!! lol  I had my picture updated and I really do look sooooo much different.

The biggest thing since surgery is that my birth control patch completely failed and I found out at 1-2 months post op that I was pregnant!! They have been watching baby closely and he/she is growing beautifully.  I am still loosing weight while pregnant, albeit it MUCH slower. My focus is simply on healthy food choices, making sure I get all of my vitamins in each day and leaving the rest in gods hands. I am almost 3 months pregnant and they are hopeful that all will be just fine!  I already have 5 year old twins and a 19 month old so we will be busy for sure!

For all those waiting for surgery....I know the wait is long, but it is just sooooo worth it.  I remember my first night in hospital sitting in the bathroom SOBBING and wondering what I had just done. I wish I could have seen myself 4 months from then. I am a completely different person!  I have had to buy a complete new wardrobe and I am just loving life! Hang in there, you're time will come and you will be sooooo happy.  I can now PLAY with my kids and not just sit on the sidelines. I'm not going to be a FAT mom that my kids get made of fun of....life is good! I owe Dr.Jackson and the team at TWH my life....I will always be grateful.

Congrats on the 100 loss. You'll definitely be able to keep up with your growing family now

I was gestational diabetic for my daughter. I was obese and lost weight during the pregnancy. She was a healthy 8lb 4 c section 2 weeks early. I am sure the baby will do fine

OMG CONGRATS on the weight loss and CONGRATS on the pregnancy!!!!!

I just posted 2 days ago and then like 30 mins ago asking if anybody got pregnant so soon after WLS!!!!! My IUD came out 3 days ago and I was not careful and now I am worried!

It must be so weird to lose so much weight while being pregnant??!! I cant even imagine the feeling because I gained 102 lbs with my daughter 11 years ago and I hated every second of it. How is your pregnancy going??

Great news all around for you!!!!!!!!!

I loved reading this because I am on the other side, waiting for surgery and getting a little nervous about doing it.  On the other hand I dream of a time when I have the energy to really play with my three kids.  I keep thinking if I leave it too long they will be teenagers and won't want to hang out with me.  I don't want to be the fat Mom.

Congratulations on your success and on your little one!
