I am almost 8 weeks out and when I take my vitamins - I'm taking the prenatal ones - my stomach gets a very sick feeling.  Is anyone taking a liquid or chewable one that works better and has all that we need it them, if so, what is it called.

Thanks  Holly

Do you take them with food? I like the Bariatric Advantage ones. Also have tried Centrum (50+ because they have more vitamins).

Where do you buy the Bariatric ones - on line or downtown.

My doctor suggested I take the multi-vitamin right before bed because I get that yuck feeling too. I'm taking Kirkland (costco) prenatals and so far I've been good.

Hi bikinibound,  I`m taking the same ones and I never thought to take them before bed.  I`ll try that tomorrow, I always thought they should be taken in the morning but it`s worth a try.

Thanks.

I take mine before bed as well, even at 5 months they make my stomach upset. They told me as long as you take them at some point in the day, it doesn't matter when :)

You can also try changing brands.  I used to be on one that made me sick, so I changed to another brand and was fine.  I've been taking Equate (Wal-Mart) pre-natal vitamins and haven't had a problem.  If I remember right, Rexall might now have a  Bariatric vitimin line.  Haven't looked lately, but think that's where I saw it.

My multis make me feel sick too...due to the high amount of iron I am assuming. My clinic (Ottawa) told me it was okay to take them with milk, if that helps, so I do. At first I didn't think I should because I had read that milk can block some of the absorption of the iron. But, the clinic told me it was okay because my iron levels are good. You may want to check that out before using milk. Usually, the milk helps, but, sometimes I will still feel sick, so, then I just eat a small snack and I feel better.

I also like the Bariatric vitamins, I either buy them at the pharmacy at Humber or Amazon.ca
