Crazy week

This has been an interesting week. First I hit 197. Woohoo I'm in Onderland down 93 pounds since January.  No regrets!  Secondly my screaming gallbladder has been in overdrive. Yesterday I made the trek to Humber River, waited all day for Dr Starr to admit me ( yahoo). Spent some time in the ER hallway as a patient. Horrible experience & in my humble opinion there has got to be a better way.  They finally found me a bed & I was tucked. Saw Dr Starr at 6:45. Saw Dr Hagen at 7:40 & was in the OR at 10:50. In recovery at 12:30 without a screaming gallbladder!  I'm home stoned, sore & sipping!

Hmm, sounds like a familiar story.  Mine was longer, but it just meant I was on morphine a little longer before surgery.  I went in Monday, was in observation until 6 pm Tuesday, discharched, back at 9pm admitted at midnight, surgery was Thursday at 4:30 (small town, they only have surgeries on Thursdays).  Out on Saturday.  It will get better, honest.  And I got to come home that weekend to a baby (I had a bad May that year) and a 3 year old.

Rest and sip, sip sip.

Cathy
