It all went so fast (in between what seemed like the longest stalls ever!)

so so many things I can do now that I thought I never would:

I am starting a running program and trying to join the military! I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be able to live up to the challenge of joining.  (Still don't know if you can join after having had WLS in Canada)

So excited to have gotten to this point. And even though losing the weight brought me ace to face with some bigger issues I have tried to burry I wodn't change a thing!

for those of you who are considering going through the process let me just say that it is worth all the effort and waiting and life is so much better when you can live it!!!

Congratulations and welcome to the Century Club - awesome accomplishment!

As Pat mentioned, we do/did have a poster here who is military. I'm not sure, however, about the ability to qualify post-WLS. I do know that I have read from American members over the years that they have had problems enlisting as a post-op. Maybe give them a call to find out if it's possible?

I have a good friend who joined the military after having WLS, in fact it was a dream of hers and a reason why she had the surgery. She is oneof the most inspirational people I have ever met and has even been featured on the news for overcoming so much. Let me know if you want to get in touch with her (PM me, I check about once a week, sorry if it takes awhile to get back to you).
AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!
