Revision surgery

Has anyone had to have a revision due to an ulcer at the anastamosis?  I have an ulcer at mine & we are currently trying conservative treatment for 3 months. If anyone is able to give me some insight or willing to share their experience I would be forever grateful. Google definitely does not share lived experiences!

Robyn, so sorry to hear this. Perhaps post on the main RNY forum for more input? I know there are quite a few people out there who have had to deal with this, just no one on this forum that I can think of.

Best wishes to you, keep us posted on how you're doing.

Hi! I know your post is from years ago, but I'm wondering how you are? Did you go back to see Hagen!  I'm seeing him this month and I don't know how to address the revision... does he do it?

Hello, i am still doing great.. Yes he is the best at revisions.. He will walk you through it.. My revision was from a old VSG in the 90s and he was able to still do it..Good luck..Take care Krista..

Thanks for replying Krista,

im just wondering what his take on revision was? Or his Attitude?  I'm reading about macanical issues with pouch but I'm not sure exactly what that includes....  I'm reading how some Dr brush off some people..   He was amazing and fit me into a cancellation spot 13 years ago... ya, I guess I'm just wondering if there could be a reason for this sudden weight gain... and chronic fatigue symptoms that are kinda sudden and blood work shows no reason for..
