On Friday, I had my 1 yr check up with Dr. Reed and I am doing well.  Actually, he told me that he hasn't seen anyone do this well in such a long time.  He was quite pleased.

I asked him about what weight he thought I should get to and he told me probably another 5-7 lbs.  He explained that once I start doing maintenance I will more than likely gain and end up going up another 20 lbs or so which is fine.

He wants me to kick up my workouts so I can really start building the muscle...so I did today.

It's always awesome to get the approval of the surgeon with your progress! Good for you! It seems like you're doing everything you need to so you get the results we all are working toward. I'm kind of puzzled why he would think we would gain on a maintenance diet? I'm wondering if this is typical?

Anyway heartfelt congratulations on your success! 😃 Kim

Happy one yr Alysan. You've done really well. I have Dr Reed as well and he is pretty good in encouragement and telling you how well you've done. He said the same thing to me at my one yr as well, that i should expect to gain weight. Don't know why he'd say so but he did, lol. Congrats anyways.

I think the reason he said I would gain is because with the intense workouts he wants me to start doing, I will build more bulk muscle in my legs and butt.  Muscle weighs more than fat.  I am hoping I won't gain that much since I have worked so hard to get down to where I am now.  We shall see!!!!
