Trio Appointment on Monday at HRRH - What to expect?

I am FINALLY going into my trio appointments on Monday at the Humber River Regional Hospital for my gastric bypass. What should I expect?  I am a little nervous.

Hi! I'm not sure for I'm just started this process my self, based on my postal code, I'm also going to Humber River regional Hospital and I was wondering how long di it take you from you referral to get your trio appointments?

my doctor sent the referral on March 14 2015, but no news yet on the orientation 

Any info would be greatly appriciated.

Well I was referred July of 2014 and my orientation was October 15th. I didn't meet the Surgeon (Dr. Starr****il March 23rd. I am now finally seeing the Trio Appointments (Nurse, Dietician and Social Worker) on June 1.  I don't meet with Dr. Glazer (the internist****il August 24.  So... I am thinking my surgery might be sometime in September but won't get an actually date until I am cleared on Monday and call Dr. Starr's office to get that date.  Long journey to this point.

Know your orientation package inside and out they do quiz you and expect you to have done your homework. There is an HRRH group here. I posted a message all about what to expect. Join the group and check out the posts, hopefully you find it helpful :-)

How do I find the HRRH group?  I am told that is probably where I will be going

Bring a food log for your dietician, bring your best attitude for the social worker, and expect to explain EXACTLY how the surgery is done to the RN. They'll poke and prod you and make sure you're up to par. Definitely don't forget the food log... the dietitian is typically the most difficult to get past. Good luck!

much like Buffy... i was referred July 17 2014.  Orientation November 4 2014.  didn't meet Dr. Starr till March 17 2015.  My trio appointments were April 20.  Dr. Glazer is August 19 and they did book surgery for November 23 2015.  From my approval of the Trio appointments.  It is 7 months wait to surgery.  But overall it will be 16 months.  

Expect a 2nd appointment with the dietician, I was really well prepared and still had to come back... Kind of frustrating since the way you eat now changes significantly post op. Just jump through the hoops to be moved along as quickly as possible.
