Day 5 post-op. ..... nausea
The first few days home from the hospital went really well.. While in a little pain, I was getting in my protein and water and all my meals per my centre's sample meal plan. But today, my god, the nausea... The smell of unflavoured protein is making me so sick. I'm trying to eat my greek yogurt and i know the protein is in it and my stomach is just churning knowing it's in there.
Is there anything i can do?

I agree with Tracey - take Gravol as needed.

funny you should mention day 5, that was my worst day everything smelled so horrid that day for me. I stuck to liquids that day and lived off gravol because everything just made me have such bad nausea. figured it out it was the pain meds and as soon as i switched from the oxy they prescribed on discharge to extra strength tylenol the naesea went away and so did the bad smells. I brought chewable gravol with me to the hotel which helped a ton

Thank you so much ladies!! Gravol definitely helped me get through the day. Hopefully I'll get over it sooner rather than later.
