3 month check up... I'm a slow loser

Great! Go me! Geez! :(  Found out I'm a slow loser. I've lost a total of 34 pounds since my surgery june 15th.  They said it could be a combination of my tsh being too high again, my body  make up, how I'm burning up fat,  or my age.  Thought I'd lose more by now, like others losing 60, 70 pounds by now.

She told me I was right on track with my eating though. Not taking in too many calorie**** a few stalls so far, getting in my protein goals, but losing only 2 pounds a week. Ah well. Guess i have to wait it out. Hope I still maintain the 2 pounds a week loss for months ahead. I still have lots to lose. At this rate, it'll take 7 or 8 more months to be where I should be. Lol

At least losing over 40 pounds already since starting opti, I have more energy, no more acid reflux/heartburn, feeling pretty good, and I actually like walking without huffing and puffing. Maybe I won't get the sagging skin if I'm losing slow. Hmmm.. something to think about.

Anyone else a slow loser?

Slow and steady wins the race!!  What does a typical eating/drinking day look like for you?

Sometimes you need to switch things up to get things moving.  Up your calories then drop them.

40 pounds is still great!

I'd reduce the carbs and see if that helps - just based on what I've seen from others on the RNY forum.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Keep up the good work! my father always told me if you lose a two pounds a week that is over a hundred pounds in a year! imagine that! could we ever have dreamed (i am still unable to wrap my head around the idea of losing that quickly) but this new life we have taken on is making it possible. Keep it up!

(i haven't had the surgery yet but thank you for sharing your story. i know that if i AM a slow loser i will know that i am not alone!)

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

You are doing fantastic.  I'm a slow loser at the best of times and don't know how I'll be after the surgery.  Numbers are just indicators, but how you feel - the energy, the satisfaction, the revitalization - those are some of the things to focus on.  Control what you can and keep on learning - my mantra and I've just started the journey.  Life is good Eragon - no more :(.
