Medic Alert Bracelet

Hello

Where did people buy their medic alert bracelet.

I've had the VSG and just had a total hip replacement but have no other issues at the moment.

I would not be getting a monthly membership even if I buy from medic alert Canada.

They just seem very heavy to wear all the time. Although, I may just have to suck it up as they say!

Thanks in advance ( as always)

I noticed that Costco sells them online and they have some really plain light ones, they come with a year membership - I guess you could cancel after the year.

what are you going to put on it? We're you given any advice to what to put?

I got mine at https://ca.emergencyid.com/ after a recommendation from a lady at my post op nutrition class. I checked several places online and they had the most reasonable prices with no membership required.

Hello!

I had RNY back in 2011. At the time there was a lot of controversy over wearing them. Over the years I've come to the conclusion that I would strongly advise NOT wearing one but if you feel you shoud simply say what surgery you had but don't restrict treatment. The words placed inside these bracelets very well may hinder treatment instead of doing the opposite. Check with your WLS clinic and ask what they recommend.

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

I think it's a good idea to have one. I have one for a drug allergy but just bought the tag part at Amazon and made my own silver bracelet to attach it. When I have surgery, I will do the same.

I had not heard of some of those places so I will check them out.

I intend only to put the two types of surgery I've had on the charm.

I feel if unconscious that what they need to know is how not to harm me more and that's it.

I have allergies to drugs but neither are drugs they would give me in this cir****tance and Nsaids won't kill me but if I need some to save my life I'm okay with that.

Thanks again!
