Hello my OH friends,
I just got the call from Meaghan @ St. Joseph's Hamilton and she said there was a cancellation spot for me...
I am having my surgery Friday September 15th @ 8 a.m.
I start 1 week of Opti tomorrow.
YESSS
I actually cried when she told me . I had literally just left my family doctors office for my annual physical {dread }. I gained 16 pounds since April when I was weighed at my nurse appt. I walked out of her office feeling defeated, and then my phone rang. As soon as I saw private number I knew what was about to happen. I am so excited and scared at the same time.
I thought I had months to prepare, not a week.. lol
I need to calm down lol

I ended up getting my surgery on a cancellation as well -- they called me and asked if I could come in the very next day!! YIKES!!! No time to talk myself out of it...and it was the best thing I have done for myself!

Orientation: June 29th, 2016, Surgery March 22, 2017. Pre-surgery: 16 lbs, (Size 2x, 18/20), M1: 19 lbs. (Size 1x, 16/18), M2: 13 lbs. (Size 16, XL) M3: 10 lbs. (Size 14/16, large). M4: 6 lbs. (Size 14, large/medium). M5: 10 lbs. (Size 14, solid medium - lol), M6: 9 lbs. (Size 12, medium). M7: 8 lbs. (Size 10/12 and small/medium). M8: 7 lbs. (Size 10 and small/medium). M9: 2 lbs. (Size 8/10 - small/medium). Lost 100 lbs by Month 9! M10: 5 lbs. M11: 4 lbs. One year: 6 lbs. Total 111 lbs. lost!
Congratulations!!! Yahoo!!! I got mine on a cancellation and had 2 weeks plus 2 days. I had plans that night with girlfriends, so I celebrated with them that night, and family the next. Then... Opti for 2 weeks.
It felt like a bit of a whirlwind getting myself ready. I also thought I would have more time to prepare. But it was great and here I am 5 days post op.

I can/can't imagine what it's like to be on the other side of this difficult process, but I know one thing for sure . If it wasn't for members like you sharing your successes, and struggles this would be sooo much harder for me to get through. I am cheering for you, and I thank you for sharing .
