Alternative to Opti Fast

I was wondering if anyone had the alternative drink to the Opti Fast they prescribe?

Since I already had the opportunity to try Opti Fast for 3 days I already know that I can't drink it. I am going through TWH. I asked about an alternative and there is one but it is not their first choice.

Has anyone had the alternative? I'm worried that it might taste worse than Opti.

Any info would be great.

Hello , when i was going through the opti fast stage i took Boost Diabetic because i am allergic and have a great sensitivity to aspartame/sweeteners. I also went through TWH and had surgery at St Mikes (2.5 years ago). The taste was ok but after 3 weeks it was also horrible. Make sure it is cold maybe on ice.

Good luck

Thanks for letting me know. I would figure Boost would taste good but I guess you are right with everything tasting bad when its all you get for 3 weeks. I would rather be on Boost diabetic instead than some doctor concoction but I guess I won't have a choice.

Everyone seems to agree that whatever drink I end-up with is better on/with ice.

Boost is doctor concocted as much as Opti is. In fact, Opti is made by Nestle.

They are ALL processed foods. I am not a fan of any of them. But it's a small, tiny part of our overall journey. If it's a taste issue, it might just be a matter of putting on our big girl panties and finding a way to enjoy it, or get through it. It's what I did... it's what most of us do.

They aren't awful. You have to "doctor" them up a bit to make them palatable. But it's a small blip in a very tough journey.

Good luck.
