Hello friendly folks!

Does anyone have any recommendations for post-surgery cookbooks, or websites with lots of good recipes?

I am a crappy cook at the best of times, so I'm hoping to get an arsenal of easy recipes ready before my surgery.

Thanks!

Check out The World According to Eggface website.

She had WLS and she has recipes for each phase post-op. Don't cook too much. It's surprising how tastes change after surgery and you will only be able to eat a very small amount for a long time.

Pinterest is my best friend when it comes to recipes. It's nice that most recipes have reviews as well on there. I love cook books, but can't bring myself to spend money on them cause I'm a cheapo :P

I bought two cookbooks from Amazon.

The first is "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" and the other is "Fresh Start Bariatric Cookbook".

There are some really great recipes in both of these books and what I really like is that they set out portioning and recipes that can be pureed, or soft etc. for all the stages after surgery and also based on the surgery you have had.

I've been making some these recipes now so I know what I like and will pre make some prior to surgery so they're ready for after.

These books also gave me a true look at what my meals can look like after surgery and helped calm my nerves when I was "on the fence".

I'm not sure where you live, but I know a lot of libraries have extensive digital collections that you can borrow online (or you can get the physical copies too, of course). Whenever I want to try out a new recipe book, or am looking for something different, I borrow a cookbook online and test the recipes to see if it's worth investing in
