As with many others this january i joined a gym! I feeling excited about starting this whole new life journey and developing good work out habits before surgery. As i am getting over a month long sinus infection i'm keeping it simple for now- but what are your fav things to do at the gym!? i want to try a little bit of everything that my body will allow!

I started at the gym 2 years ago with a couple of coworkers. I started off slow with 10 minuets on the bike and a fast walk on the treadmill. Where I go they have a circuit of weight machines for arms & legs and would alternate every other visit 3 reps of 12. I have continued that cycle and now work out on the elliptical and stair climber, never thought in my life I would be able to do the stair climber lol.

The weight machines are my fav now. I do 10 sets of 8 reps. I will also do an hour on the recumbent bike.

Where I go is circuit as well. Weight lifting (mostly free weights) with 1 minute tread mill running in between. The work out I do is no more than a half hour and I go 3x a week. I love that I work with a trainer and I never know until I get there what my workout will be. It's always different and it keeps me motivated.

I find doing cardio on my own gets boring, fast! It's nice to mix things up and do some classes- zumba, for example. I'm always amazed when I can do an hour on the treadmill no problem, but I'm done like a dinner after 10 minutes of a cardio class!
