nail polish in the OR room
I was told by the pre- op nurse that nail polish is generally not allowed in the OR room but it's up to the individual anesthesiologist. Why would that be?

I haven't been without nail polish in quite some time. I'm going to feel naked after I take it off. Oh well, gives me a reason to hit the salon after surgery for a little pampering

All nail polish, fake nails etc. need to go.
It's also because they watch the colour of your nail beds. That gives them an idea about your oxygen levels as well.
