A couple question for those post op...

In general what food do you miss the most since having surgery?

My husband ( 5.5 weeks post op) really misses chips & pizza

What was your "last meal" before starting Opti Fast?

My husband had pizza!! I am debating on what I want to do Monday!!

So far not missing anything at almost 9 weeks out.

I can't remember my last meal before surgery. Apparently it wasn't very memorable. I remember thinking that I had to have "the last supper" kinda deal but it never materialized. LOL

I'm not hungry so don't miss much, I missed food more during the Opti stage, I really miss salad of all things, but I used to eat every day at least once, sometimes twice. But I hear I should be able to digest again once I get 6-8 months out I've been told the same with pizza once I reach goal.

My last meal out was to the Keg and had steak and lobster. Last meal at home was pizza.

Next week my husband and I are going out for dinner on Thursday (4-1/2 weeks out), I get to decide what he's eating and snack off his plate.

I've been eating salad no problem and I'm 9 weeks out. I don't eat much of it mind you, but I have been eating it.

I'm six months post-op and the only thing I just can't tolerate is bread. If I am having a terrible craving for something, I just have it. A small bite or two and I (usually) realize it doesn't taste as good as I remember and it makes me want to vomit.

Chips or chocolate, just a small bite or a couple chips (literally like 3 chips) will get rid of the craving for me for a week or whatever. Just because it's working for me doesn't mean it'll work for anyone else though.

Other things, like pizza, I make in a way that I can eat. High protein tortilla or pita bread as the dough makes it so I can tolerate it. Tacos I use the protein tortilla, cut it in 4s and have a tiny taco then eat the rest without a shell.

I'm the same as you. I will try a bit of something and nine times out of ten, it doesn't taste as good as I remember or it makes me feel gross.

I was craving pizza and discovered Dominos thin crust pizza. It is super thin and I load it up with chicken and veggies. It also comes cut in squares, so I can usually have around 2 pieces.

I really thought I would miss pop, but I don't at all. I can't even imagine how that would fee on my pouch.

I'm only 4 weeks out and I honestly don't miss anythin yet.

We went to Boston Pizza for my last supper. I had a chicken sandwich and fries. I also made sure to get a pizza from my favorite place the weekend prior.
