I'm shrinking! ... wait, what?

So I bought myself a full length mirror the other week. I'm not sure what prompted me but I knew I needed it. I haven't seen my reflection in quite some time. Well I got home and installed it (one of those over the door type so it wasn't rocket science or anything).

Anyways I sat in front of that mirror for the longest time. I stood up and looked at myself. To my astonishment I didn't look away. I then got ballsy and took out the biggest pair of jeans I had (22W) I was quite pleased in knowing that they didn't fit me any longer but I put them on anyways and had to hold them up just to look at myself in the mirror. I then let them go and down to the ground they fell. My smile grew ever so slightly.

I thought to myself well, if the 22W are too big, lets see where the 18W are at. So on I went and tried them on. Again I had to hold onto the waistband so I wouldn't lose them. I then let them go and they also fell to the ground. My smile grew even wider.

I thought to myself well, if the 18W are too big, lets see where the 16W are at. Firstly I had to find them because I had packed them away in the "if I ever get thin" box which I had stashed in the crawl space. Looking inside that box brought back mixed emotions, I wont lie. I even have some size 10 in there for safe keeping.

So I ran upstairs (yes I said run you read correctly. In fact a couple of times I took 2 stairs at once wee!) I slid those pants on thinking that I would have to stop around the knee as they would be too tight and would have to find the shoe horn to finish hiking them up to my waist. What a surprise when I fitted the button and zipped that zipper to the top (with room to spare I might add). My smile is now a stupid goofy grin and a laugh to boot.

That's right ladies and gents. I have lost 2 pant sizes in just over 6 weeks post op. The scale may not be moving downwards (that post surgery stall) but I'm ok with that because my body is changing all on its own.

I am literally shrinking out of my clothes, Wee!!

You either ran up those stairs in pants that were too big for you, or you ran up naked. Both situations come with different perils, lol. Great job Squishy

Awesome accomplishment!

When that started happening to me, I got busy clearing out clothes. I laundered everything, sorted it by size, bagged it up and out it went.

Quite frankly, watching 6 bags of clothes leave my house for others who could use them was more than satisfying.

Start the cull Squishy! It is soooo much fun.

It's amazing isn't it. Good for you. You are going to have more pants fall off too. This is only the beginning.

That's so great! I had surgery 2 days after you and have been enjoying the loss so far. I been wearing leggings so I've havent noticed the sizes but my shirts are definitely starting to hang. I'm so happy for you, it brought a smile to face:)
