Surgery tomorrow!
I'm here in my hotel room at the Delta Chelsea, smelling like disinfectant after my shower with the antiseptic wash as instructed. It's coming on 10pm and I have no idea how I'm going to sleep tonight...got the alarm set for 4am, check in at the hospital at 6am!
My parents travelled with me so I'm not alone, for which I'm thankful. Hard to believe that tomorrow at this time, surgery will be done and over with ( at least I hope so, knock on wood). I'm not as anxious as I thought, I'm feeling more excited than anything. Eager to start this new, healthier chapter of my life.
I don't have a full length mirror right now at home, and tonight I got a good look at myself in the buff after my shower...omg I look exactly like the Venus of Willendorf. Only with stretch marks. I'm trying not to imagine what I'm going to look like on the operating table.
I hope everyone has a fantastic Monday (boo, Monday) and week! I'm going to try my best to get a few hours sleep, then put my new mantra into practice tomorrow afternoon...forget Eat, Pray, Love. It's Sip, Walk, Toot all the way!

Referral to Guelph Feb/13, Sleep study and all bloodwork and ultrasound May/13, orientation July/13. Nurse, NUT,SW Sept/13, 2nd NUT, nurse and SW, 3rd round and cleared for surgery Dec/13. Pre-op Apr 7/14, Surgeon May 2/14, Opti Jul 3/14, surgery Jul 17/14.

Good luck today! The few days in the hospital were the worst of it pain wise, it gets better every day. Drink as much water as you can tomorrow, it really makes a difference in how you feel!

Well I'm a bit behind replying to this so today is your actual surgery. Very exciting! I'll be following your progress closely since the doctor in Windsor figures I will likely be at St.Mike's also plus have similar SW.
