I was just wondering I am seeing a counceler already to help me with my issues, I was just wondering if I will have to stop seeing her in order to continue with the process or can she share notes?

I definitely don't think you would be required to stop seeing the counselor you are already seeing. You will have to be seen by one of the bariatric social workers but that is just standard for everyone. I would definitely encourage you to continue with the help you have been receiving as it will help you with the whole process.

ok, so the fact that i am already seeing someone for help will not disqualify me?

I'm sure that your bariatric team would encourage you to keep seeing your counsellor - any help is a good thing. I would highly doubt they would ever ask you to stop seeing someone who is helping you with your issues.

No not at all! It shows you are committed to the process and it should be in your favor
