Hello

I'm wondering if there are prescription multivitamins that my doctor could prescribe for me, that I could get filled at the pharmacy. Not necessarily specific vitamins but broader ones. Would these be covered by OHIP or most private health insurance? Anyone done this?

Guelph recommended 1 prenatal multivitamin per day. I buy these at Costco. If my lab work comes back with low levels on any minerals or vitamins, I have had to supplement separately with those. None of those were covered by insurance. The only thing that I think might be covered by insurance is if you need iron infusions.

Vitamins are not covered by insurance or trillium. Only Vitamin D at 50 0000 units units is covered. Anything that is available OTC is not covered. Save receipts and claim on income tax
