Topic: RE: I dumped on a banana smoothie today

So for breakfast today, I was going to be healthy because I wanted the bananas, yogurt, and spinach.

Ingredients:

-one full banana

-5 leaves of fresh spinach

-vanilla Activia Yogurt

This was very filling. It took a long time to finish, but it was very tasty. About 5 minutes after I ate, I felt cramps and I immediately took that big dump poop. I could hear the water dumping from my intestines into my bowel. My mouth was producing a lot of saliva, too. So, yeah. There was probably a lot of sugar in my smoothie. Who else has dumped on fruit? Which fruit? So weird- dumping on a healthy food.

Oh my goodness sweetride- 155 lbs?! Do you have saggy skin issues? How tall are you? I can't imagine weighing 130 lbs. I mean I can, but I guess I gotta cut out the bad foods that I've let sneak in lol. Good for you!!! You go, girl!!!

lol. I love the frank response. I have a completely deflated butt. BBL doesn't sound like a bad idea right now.

Thank you, Leslie. Does lipo make the shape of your body weird? Have you had any regain since lipo? If so, where did the fat go once you had all these fat cells removed?

First off the plastics board is pretty inactive so I'm posting here and I want surgeon recommendations from the GTA.

My daughter once asked me why I have breasts on my back. True story. Genetically, I have lumps on my back, because that's where fat tends to deposit. I've lost 120 lbs and I'm not active, nor do I lift weights, but this is something that I feel needs to be remedied. At first, I was thinking of having a bra line lift, but after seeing the scar line in pics online, I opted against it. I know liposuction won't give me the same results as a bra line lift, but I'm hoping it will make my back breasts better. It looks awful in clothes, too. Has anyone had liposuction on their back? How about elsewhere? Who did you get it done by and what was the cost?

Thanks!

I'm so grateful for the response. Everyone here is right. I have to log and go back to the basics with protein first. I hope everyone success and have a great night :)

I am about 14 months out from RNY. I lost from 285 to 161 lowest. i am 170 today. This is because of my bad choices, giving in to temptation, not planning, and grazing/ overeating. Oh lord. I don't want to be an RNY failure after cutting up my guts. ARGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa... sorry to hear this. I dump when I overdo the sugars... like once I had 3 Oh Henry Halloween bars one right after another after my Premier Protein shake and it was on!!! I can't believe a person would dump from fruits- that's rough :(

You got this, Michelle! Just get your head back in the game and go to protein first. Whenever you lack motivation, just remind yourself about what you put your body through. You can do this :)

You are right about the people who "love" us. I have to know that it's okay to say no to her and her outrageous "fears" about my weight. You're damned if you do. You're damned if you don't. lol.

If you've dumped then this post is for you. Please tell us what you ate that you think caused it, how your body responded, what symptoms you had, what you had to go through, and how often this happens. Thanks!

Topic: RE: Happy one year surgeversary to me!

One year ago today I was lying in the hospital room worrying about how my body would recover from what I did to it. Boy, have I come a long way since!!!!!!!! My highest weight was 289. The day I started Opti I was 285. 2 weeks with Opti and I was down to 270 on surgery day. Fast forward one year, I weighed in at 167 today. I am happy with my progress, but I miss my stomach a lot of the time. Can't help it. I said that in the waiting room at my one year check and the lady in the waiting room who was 6 mohths post op said "I don't". lol.

I miss not vomiting out of nowhere because something didn't go down right, not having food aversions, having more energy, and guzzling water. I miss not having to think about what I'm putting in my mouth and worrying about protein and vitamins.

I don't miss being fat, being stared at like I was an outcast, people not making eye contact with me out of pity, my joints hurting, getting out of breath going up stairs, gorging for no reason, not having clothes fit, having to shop in plus size stores, having to buy wide width shoes, having to layer my clothes in an attempt to "hide" my fat, having to tell my husband I wasn't going to his work events. There are more I'm sure.

Was it all rainbows and unicorns? Absolutely not. A part of me still wishes I had respected my body and treated it well so I wouldn't have had to have gone through RNY. A part of me still wishes they had given me a VSG so I didn't have to have malabsorption. But there is absolutely no part of me that wishes that I were still close to 300 lbs. God, I cannot believe I was 11 lbs away from 300!!!

My mom has been over for the past week and she has been cooking non stop. She doesn't know about my RNY and has totally messed my head up because she was the source of immense overeating growing up. Subconsciously in order to appease her, I have been grazing like crazy and have put on like 4 lbs in a week. Very scary. Weight regain is real if we don't control it. She didn't put a gun to my head, but our experiences don't get erased when the stomach gets cut.

At my one year check up the Nut said I was doing very well with the surgery. She told me I had lost 80% of my excess weight. I was like not all of it? lol.

This was not easy and it took a lot to get used to. I remember standing behind a door crying like a lunatic wondering what I had done to myself 1 week after my surgery. I was scared and I didn't know what I had gotten myself into. But now that I look back, I think that sad, naïve person is long gone. I think I enjoy shopping a lot more because I can't exactly just eat in my spare time like I used to. Replacement addiction? Perhaps, lol.

I want to thank everyone who posts on this forum to keep communication and hope alive. I want to thank anyone *****sponded to my posts or messages and I want to thank everyone who exuded positivity and support to me and to all of my fellow peeps. God bless and much love to everyone :)

I'm 4 days short of one year out. I had a premier protein today and started my day off great. Then I had 3 Halloween Oh Henry, one right after the other very quickly. Well... I got into my office and my stomach started to churn. I felt like I had to vomit and I couldn't even walk straight because my intestines were twisted. I felt like I would poop my pants. Anyway, I had to leave work and right when I got home... well I had diarrhea...like 3 times. So I think I dumped. Never again. I will stick to the premier.

Chef Jay's Tri-o-plex bars are my absolute favourite at 30 g of protein bar, but they are high in calories. 460 per bar. My favourite is the peanut butter chocolate chip, which is DECLICIOUS!!!

And the Snickers one is good too as mentioned above.

The only problem is there's 3 flavours in the box, only 1 of which I like. Do they come in single flavours at Costco?

Case of 18 is $26.99. Regularly $33.99. No tax.

They only have vanilla and chocolate at Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton.

It's never on sale when I need it so I stocked up! At 11 months out, meat is still an issue for me, so I truly depend on these.

Enjoy!
