OT: Disney special for veterans and active duty
Disney in FL is offering special deal for Veterans and Active Duty members. The Shades of Green Resort, Army, on the disney grounds has many special rates going on for those who qualify. We stayed there in Jan 2011 and we really like it. Right next to Magic Kingdom, tax free shopping and rates, discount tickets to parks, transport to other parks in area. We paid $47 for a room. Our daughters family of 5 paid $119/night and that included breakfast and dinner each day. Check it out online and please let those who are veterans and active military about these specials.

Thanks for the info, Monica. We were just talking with our youngest daughter, her DH, & our 6 yr old g-daughter about going back to WDW again. It will be our 3rd trip. We're always looking for a bargain and the military discounts are always appreciated. DH is retired Navy. We're planning on Fall 2012 and will start looking around the 1st of the year. The only thing we didn't like about Shades of Green was the transportation from the airport. We LOVED the Magic Express!
