A couple of days ago we were under the tree, just hanging out and relaxing. Tom got up and found a snake crawling near the pine tree.

I said KILL IT.

He refused.

I ran inside.

Since then I kind of hop around when I take Baxter outside.

This morning I was sitting under the tree, Baxter on his lead. OMG - he found the snake.

Tom refuses to kill snakes. Okay --- he wasn't home so I shouldn't blame him but damn it, he could have smushed it the other day.

Now I'll have to wear boots to take the puppy outside. AND, I need to find a weapon to dismiss that monstrous snake myself.

PS: sorry if I have offended anybody but those slithery things scare the heck out of me. Don't worry, we really don't have any sort of weapons in this house. Will my screams do the trick?

Get you a long handled shovel or a hoe and chop its head off! That's what I do! My hubby is never home when one of those slithery monsters shows up. I've even had to kill one in the house before! You can do it! Just one good whack right behind the head.

BTW, on the pet adoption segment of the local news last night, they had a little "min pin" featured. Oh my, he was just precious. Made me think of Baxter!

Good idea. A hoe, why didn't I think of that? One in the house would make me move, immediately.

I am just feeling creepy thinking about such a thing! I am terrified of snakes....I can't even handle worms!!!!
