How much weight in skin?

I have lost about 100 lbs since my heaviest weight. I have lost 65 lbs since surgery (one year ago today) and I am curious about how much weight I may lose in skin if I am able to have a TT.

mine was around 7lbs... had an apron that hung about an inch below my crotch...(dont know how else to describe)... I think a lot of it has to do with how much of a fat layer is there and how large it is...  Although there should only be the healthy insulating fat layer of the skin...it can still retain water resulting in increased weight.

I currently weigh 150 and am almost 6 years post.  I had the panni removed but i still have some extra skin other places.  The lowest weight I have gotten to is around 140 and to me my face looked very thin and hollow so I figured that I probably carry at least another 10 to 15 lbs of skin through the rest of my body (arms, thighs, butt and breasts).  I am currently working on getting the breasts done, but I think I have decided to accept the rest bc im leary of the scars that are required...

I lost 93 lbs and my panni weighed 1.5 pounds.

Hey there, Like the other poster said, I think it varies a lot per person, but I lost around 130 pounds and they removed about 7 pounds of skin.  Why that doesn't sound like a huge amount, the difference it made in my clothes was amazing.  I went from a size 10 to a size 6.  And not having to deal with the panni for the first time that I can remember is so wonderful I can't even explain.  If you have a lot of skin "hanging" over, you will be so glad you did the surgery.  Best of luck. 

I lost about 145 pounds (from 290 to 145).  I had an LBL a month ago and 6 pounds was removed.  I have before and after pics on my profile if you want to see what an excess of 6 pounds of skin looks like.

 WOW!!!!! I have never seen such a difference. I'm not at goal, but have started saving and dreaming about a tummy tuck or LBL. If you don't mind answering, who did your plastic surgery? It looks fantastic.

 Tessy, thanks so much for the info. I live in northern California, so I probably can't add the cost of travel, but it will help my research. Some people say it is much less expensive in other parts of the country. I have to say you are beautiful.

I am down 165 pounds so far.
And my panni completely covers my crotch area...down to mid thigh almost.
I have alot above the belly button as well.

My fleur de lis is scheduled for Aug 8.
My goal weight for surgery was 190. (I'm there!!)

Surgeon is estimating 10 pounds to be removed. There is a good amount of fat padding in that hanging down stuff still. The rest of my body is approaching the bony stage!! So it needs to go!

Breast and arms will follow in December. There will be some weight removed there as I have severe ptosis.
But nearly as much as the belly will weigh.
So ready to get this thing off of me!!

I lost 100 pounds (I am only 5 feet tall) and all my weight was in my boobs and in my stomach area.  The doctor removed 8 1/2 pounds with my TT.  I am VERY please with my results.
