Please, I just got an e-mail from someone very close to me who is getting ready to purchase tickets and put down a deposit for this surgery. Can anyone on this forum reassure me or give me some warnign about this place? I am VERY concerned.

I can only share what I know about Santa Cruz Bolivia. My ex-daughter in law is from Santa Cruz. My son lived there for three years while playing soccer. It's a very nice, but when I was there in the mid-1990's, it still felt more third world while still being somewhat cosmopolitan. Everyone was very friendly to me. Most did not speak English. Things are always different when you're visiting family. I remember there being armed guards in banks etc. (Same can be said for Mexico where I'm planning to go)

I looked at the website and think it's very noticabile that there isn't a price for a Lower Body Lift which would suggest to me that they do not specialize in patients who have shed a massive amount of weight. If your friend is a bariatric patient, they might want to find out how many bariatric patients they have operated on since we have different skin concerns than someone getting a mommy makeover.

Thanks, I will have him ask the questions. He needs a total body lift as he has lost around 250 pounds. When I was last in Bolivia twenty years ago, it was very interesting and like visiting history-100 years ago. It was not where I would go for surgery. I think it is too hard for friend and family to access if help is needed. But I have no real information to support that.

I recently read someone's account of surgery in that location, but I guess it wasn't on OH 'cause I can't find it. sorry! I wouldn't want to relay info incase it was not the same locale.

Hi Gail,
Dr Sauceda does specialize in formerly MO patients. I know my trip home from Monterrey was tough, but any further would have been more painful. You may want him to come and look at some of the pics. Russ is 4 weeks out and just back to work and Terrence is still down in Monterrey. Tom was down in Jan with me. I think we all all LBLs and pics out in the photo section.

I can't see what you posted from work, but will check in the morning from home.
