Hi everyone--

Quick post to tell you I feel pretty good on day 3 after surgery enlightened  I am having to undo my binder to eat comfortably and am trying to get in as much protein as possible.  I can't quite get out of bed yet without help.  I have been able to walk around for a few minutes but then it starts to hurt my back.  While I'm laying in my adjustable bed I have barely any pain.  Drains are producing A LOT of fluid... better out than in :)  I am posting more details on realself as I feel up to it.  My user name there is TheEnd, feel free to come have a read, and feel free to ask any questions!

Good for you! I was a few pounds from goal but was not losing and had little motivation to exercise because it didn't seem to help. I know my new tummy will inspire me to work harder!

Sounds like you are doing great! I'm 23 days out from same procedures. 1st week was the hardest for me. Wasn't in pain just uncomfortable and had trouble with nausea and dizziness. Week 2 was better but I swelled pretty bad. My drains were all out by day 10 and that was a huge relief. By week 3 I was feeling great and glad I did this. My dr removed 9 lbs of skin. I went into surgery at about 179 ( gained about 5 pounds being nervous and anxious about the surgery) and I'm down to 15 pounds and my size 12s are already big. I have trouble eating with the binder too! And, my compression garments are a security blanket to me. Keep up the great work! Everyday has been easier for me. Take care. Kacey

Thanks for sharing Kacey! Glad to hear you're doing well. I hate the drains but I am definitely glad to get that fluid out! There are moments I feel perfect and moments I feel absolutely awful, but I think the awful is temporary! what are you wearing for compression now?
