I recommend that my patients wear their abdominal binder at least three weeks after a TT or extended TT. It provides needed support. If it feels better, then you can continue to wear it.

I'm a month out and still having issues with fluid retention, so I'm still wearing a body suit and a binder (as well as compression underwear to keep the pressure on my new rear end).

I was instructed to wear my binder for 2 months and the compression socks for the first month. I was happy I did for this long since I think it helped me heal faster. Even though the binder would be a little annoying I was able to pad it where I needed to or wearing a t-shirt underneath was a big help.
