Anyone have a baby or knowledgeable about post plastics pregnancy?

I am going for my plastics consultation in a week and a half. My main concern is if I need to wait until after pregnancy before having a lower body lift.  I REALLY don't want to but hope to get pregnant in about a year to year and a half as I am going to be 37 next week!  I will definitely ask at my appointment but was wondering if anyone here has been through it or has any information!

Thanks.

FWIW- my closest friend had RNY in 2004 and lost from 254 lbs to 160lbs. She had BR and full tummy tuck with muscle tightening in 2006 at 35 years old.  In 2010 she became pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby and recovered to her pre pregnancy state. She is currently 42 yrs and carrying a set of twins due next month. Her pregnancies have been uneventful in that unlike her pregnancies pre-op, no diabetes, no hyper tension, etc.

Her tummy tuck and breast reduction haven't been wrecked by her multiple pregnancies post WLS and post plastics but she has been very compliant with her maintenance eating plan and has maintained her WL for almost 10 years. She has found her post plastics pregnancies to be easier and she has carried the babies well.

I thought she was crazy at first to have gone through all that but she is thrilled both with her body and her babies so rock on! It's very personal and I am sure your surgeon will say wait. But only you can know what's right for you!  I'm excited for you, good luck with whatever you choose to do!

I tell my patients that if they plan on getting pregnant in the near future, it is best to wait but even with a TT you can have children but you may need another TT to tighten everything up, but not necessary. As you know, the body does stretch!
