Has anyone had just a butt lift? Not the full LBL - but just the backside?  I had the tummy tuck, arms and breast lift. Now I need the backside done.

Trying to gauge the recovery. Not a Brazilian Butt lift...lord knows I don't need to add anything back there. Skin removal only!

I'm having a lower body lift in December with my breasts and arms done at the same time so I'm no help.  How long has it been since your other surgeries, and why didn't you have the lower body lift at the same time as your tummy tuck?

Great questions... so I really wanted my arms and my breast lift done at once, and then a lower body lift done later.  My surgeon has to do LBL's at the hospital, which costs more than the aesthetic center. So it was more cost effective to get the tummy tuck, breasts and arms done at the same time because they do multiple procedure discounts in the Duke Aesthetic Center.  He could not do all 4 procedures at the same time because it was too much time under anesthesia and would have been at the hospital too.

I am 6 1/2 weeks post op. I have the butt lift scheduled for April 23, 2015. I just wanted to get some perspective for time off.  He told me that the butt lift was worse than arms/breasts but not quite as bad as tummy tuck. I was curious if actual patients felt that way too.

Hey Sherrie I hate to pry but could I ask an estimate of that cost and which surgeon you used?

I saw Dr. Erdmann at the Duke Aesthetic center and paid $10,850 - out of pocket. No insurance coverage for me! But the price was spectacular!!

I had the full LBL.  The butt lift portion of it was no big deal.  The incision was numb.  I had a small separation where the incisions met right above the butt crack that took a few weeks to heal, but with no special treatment other than antibacterial ointment and gauze cover.  It's a common area for that type of problem because of the tension.  Your butt tends to be very flat after surgery, but it'll fluff back out.  :)

I had a butt lift with butt flaps added during my LBL.  The butt lift was easy peasy, the butt flaps took months not to be sensitive to touch or if I leaned in the shower and hit the sides of them.  They do give my upper butt more of a roundness.  I didn't have much of a butt and lifting can make it very flat.  No pain from the incisions as they were numb, some still are.

Dr Sauceda's price for his LBL is 7200, but costs go down as you add procedures.  You can take pics and send to [email protected] for a quote.

Did you have drains? For how long?

I am going back to my surgeon again here in NC.

I had 3 in my mons, one in each leg (sm thigh lift), 1 in each arm, one in left breast (reduction to match right), 2 behind the ears after face lift.  I came home with one mons drain that fell out before 3 weeks.  I did have my upper body drain for 24 days.  My niece took it out when she removed my stitches.

The recovery from just a butt lift is usually much easier than a TT or lower body lift for it is primarily skin and tissue removal with no muscle tightening. You do need to watch out for sitting and bending over for several weeks-laying flat is the best.
