I got my 2nd drain removed yesterday. Such a relief. The right one was the last to be removed, it was starting to pinch. So happy to get it out. I feel so free today. I was able to put on normal clothes and not worry about hiding the drains under super baggy clothes. And my clothes look much better on now too. No more Michelin Man belly.

Woohoo!!!

How long after your surgery were your first and second drains removed?

I'm almost 2 weeks post-op and have both my drains in. One is probably not going anywhere anytime soon, but I'm reeeeeally hoping to get the other removed at my follow-up tomorrow. It's draining around 30ccs a day, AND while milking it the other day I pulled the stitch out that was holding it in place. Thankfully I realized and was able to Macgyver it in place with cotton and medical tape - and it's still working. But yeah...reeeally hoping for its removal tomorrow.

I go back to work Monday and am dreading having to hide 2 drains under my clothes. :)

My first one was removed at 7 days, and the second one was removed at 10 days. I hope yours are able to be removed soon. I return to work on Monday as well and am happy I won't have to hide them.
